Chocolate & Wine Pairing Workshop (ONLINE TASTING)

Chocolate & Wine Pairing Workshop (ONLINE TASTING)

Lockdown would not be complete without a healthy handful of chocolates to pass the day! ;-) add wine and life suddenly gets even better?!

Thus Hampshire Wine School would like to bring a chocolate and wine tasting to you so that you can learn how to pair your favourite chocolate with wine to Perfection with a capital P. As a sommelier, I paired a selection of yummy white, milk, and dark chocolates with dessert wines and fizz for this occasion. But what do you think?

Can you find a more delicious wine tasting out there?! ;-)

You'll learn about the impact of bitterness (ie, cocoa beans), sweetness (ie, sugar), protein (ex: milk), fat (ex: butter cream) and other ingredients (such as caramel, fruits, salt) on wine. We'll give you tips and tricks for matching chocolate with wine as you taste them together

Your tutor, Cecile Bergart, is a published Champagne and Wine Educator, a guest champagne expert for Champagne World Magazine, for Channel 4 'Superscrimpers', a regular guest speaker on BBC Radio Solent, as well as being an approved staff educator for Marks and Spencer. Trust us when we say that you will be in good hands!

This tasting makes for the perfect present for the sweet tooth in your life, so don't forget to buy a ticket for you AND for them if they do not live under the same roof as you.

I would recommend buying in advance: 1 bottle of Torres 'Floralis' Moscatel Oro and 1 bottle of Mavrodaphne di Patras, plus a bar of Green & Blacks Organic White Chocolate, Lindt Excellence Orange Intense, Lindt Excellence Chilli Dark, Lindt Excellence Dark Caramel with a touch a sea salt, a pot of milk chocolate mousse, a bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk Fruit and Nut and finally a pack of chocolate coated raisins. Oh my, I am already sallivating just thinking about it all! lol

Where to find those wines? Waitrose sells Torres 'Floralis' Moscatel Oro for £9 for 50cl, but you can find it for only £7 at Morrison's right now as it is on promotion. Waitrose also sells a Mavrodaphne for £6.95 a bottle, whilst Asda sells theirs for £6.50. PLEASE SERVE THOSE TWO WINES CHILLED AT 10 DEGREES CELSIUS.

Let's bring some wine & choccie fun to your living-room! ;-)

1 ticket will entitle everyone in your household to attend this tasting (no need to buy a ticket per person!).
