Cheese & Wine Pairing Workshop (AT DAVID LLOYD WEST END SOUTHAMPTON)
France, England, Switzerland, Holland, Austria, Italy, Greece and Spain are home to some of the world's greatest cheeses and are famous for their diverse and interesting range of regional cheeses.
A full selection of these renowned cheeses will be enjoyed in this classic tasting evening. We will be tasting at least 8 cheese classics including camembert, cheddar, Comte, fresh goat's cheese, smoked Gouda, Stilton, roquefort, etc. Each cheese will be paired with the perfect wine proving a truly memorable tasting evening. We will also be serving crackers with the cheeses along with grapes and figs.
Each cheese will be carefully selected to be matched to a very specifically chosen wine in order to enhance your overall wine & food experience. We will be going through the rules behind pairing wine & food successfully, and then putting the theory into practice! How fun!!! ;-)
Your French (cheese crazy) Wine Tutor, Cecile Bergart, is a Sommelier and a published Champagne and Wine Educator, a guest champagne expert for Champagne World Magazine, for Channel 4 'Superscrimpers', a regular guest speaker on BBC Radio Solent, as well as being an approved staff educator for Marks and Spencer. Besides, she grew up in France on Brie and Chardonnay, so trust us when we say that you will be in good hands!
This evening is extremely popular and tickets are strictly limited so we advise early booking.
This tasting includes: 5 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes, use of professional ISO tastings glasses, and platters of yummy cheeses (at least 8), sourced locally too, as well as crackers, grapes and figs.
