Gin & Tonic Pairing Workshop (ONLINE TASTING)
Be guided through mixology and learn how to serve THE perfect Gin & Tonic mix!
A new era is dawning for online education! Universities and businesses are going virtual and so is your favourite wine school - fancy joining us? (What else are you going to do while stuck indoors?)
At these online classes we will be creating a shared tasting experience and educating in our typical fun way with plenty of opportunity to ask questions. All sessions will be recorded and if you can't attend at the last minute just let us know so you can go through the event at your convenience later.
Gin is not just gin as this tasting tutorial will reveal. You will become experts in botanicals and garnishes, and know the difference between all 5 main flavours in Gin.
We shall give you some nifty tasting tricks and teach you how to make some top-class G&Ts at home. During the session, we shall discuss 5 premium gins, as the aim here is for you to sample the entire flavour spectrum gin has to offer. There are 5 flavour styles of gin and you shall taste one in each category.
Indeed, you will discuss dry, floral, citrus, fruity and spicy gins, all of which can be served with 4 very different, high quality tonics, for you to eventually mix and match at home and discover why the right tonic for the right gin makes such a difference. Last (but not least) learn how the right garnish can add the extra 'je-ne-sais-quoi' to your G&T and can literally change the flavours in your drink! This is going to be real fun!!! ;-)
All YOU have to do is purchase a ticket by clicking the "BOOK" button, as you would normally. A ticket entitles ALL members of your household to join in. There is no need to buy one ticket per person. Once your ticket purchased, you will receive a confirmation email with your ZOOM web link and password.
Then, buy a bottle of Bombay Sapphire for example, or Sipsmith, or Tanqueray, or any other LONDON DRY gin (the choice is yours) plus a can or a bottle of an Indian Tonic Water of your choice (Fever Tree if you can, but again, no issue if you can't find any), some ice, some lemon and some lime! You don’t need anything at all to join in, but if you are in a supermarket you should be able to find many examples of London Dry gins, tonics, etc. Open the bottle(s) on the night and let's discuss THE perfect G&T altogether ... Join me LIVE on the night and let's have some gin fun! ;-)
