Sauvignon Blanc: FRANCE vs NEW ZEALAND (ONLINE TASTING)
This week, we sample the delights of the Loire Valley against those of the New World in terms of SAUVIGNON BLANC wines. We tour the stunning vineyards of the Loire Valley for refreshing, mineral and bone-dry wines. Discover why the Loire Valley wines are some of the most expensive wines today, and how to find the best value for money wines from this region.
However, the New World is growing strong, and the best-loved Sauvignon Blanc are no longer the exclusive grape of the Loire Valley. Let's (re)discover New Zealand and THE trendy Marlborough vineyards and try to understand why this particular Sauvignon Blanc has put New Zealand on the map. See which style suit your palate best! You might surprise yourself ...
All YOU have to do is purchase a ticket from us by clicking the "BOOK" button. A ticket entitles ALL members of your household to join in. There is no need to buy one ticket per person. Once your ticket purchased, you will receive a confirmation email with your ZOOM weblink and password. Then, buy a bottle (or two) of your favourite Sauvignon Blanc wine, either from the Loire Valley or from New Zealand ... or both, the choice is yours! Open the bottle(s) on the night and let's discuss Sauvignon Blanc wines altogether ... Join me LIVE on the night and let's have some wine fun! ;-)
For France, I would recommend a Sauvignon Blanc from Touraine, Haut-Poitou, Menetou-Salon, Pouilly-Fume or Sancerre. For Marlborough, I would recommend Sauvignon Blanc from wineries such as Villa Maria or Matua, but any will do ... no pressure ;-)
